Guano Cleaning

Guano is often a major reason for the need to control the birds in the local area. Guano is acidic and can damage buildings and cars, it can also carry diseases such as E. coli as well as irritating asthma. In many situations,  thorough cleaning of fouling areas is vital to the effective control of the pest birds as this will disrupt their roosting. Bird Guano cleaning is also vital for the safety of our install technicians and those that may be using the area after the exclusion methods are in place.

Without effective cleaning methods, adhesives for the bird control methods may not stick causing further problems down the line. Whilst installing the bird proofing it will often prove cost-effective to remove guano from the gutters.

Cleaning bird fouling and pigeon guano is a hazardous task that needs to be respected with the appropriate PPE and sterilization chemicals. Techniques vary depending on the extent of the fouling and the surfaces affected.
